What an ever-changing situation! We have a few updates to share since our last post.  We hope to compile all information you may need within our blog post since this situation constantly evolves.

First (and most importantly), one thing hasn’t changed and that is the MASSIVE size of our beaches and the amazing respect each beach-goer has for social distancing.  Typically, most folks on 43rd Street beach will head close to the water, but nowadays you will spot families spread out all along the beach allowing much more than the six-foot social distancing requirement.

Second, all Brigantine restaurants are open for outside dining but not inside.  Inside dining was planned, however, that plan was canceled by the NJ governor as cases outside NJ began to grow.  Brigantine restaurants that did not initially have outside dining have created space alongside their restaurants for outside seating.

Retail has also opened including Primal Surf, Sea Star, Island Items, and more.  Many retailers are offering sales, too! If you plan to visit the island, be sure to plan for time to check them out!

Speaking of retail, the Brigantine Farmers’ Market is now OPEN!  In its new location at Brigantine Community School parking lot, the Market allows for plenty of space to follow social distancing requirements.  Vendors are spaced out and crowds are moved through the Market in an organized manner.  Volunteers ensure a limited number of shoppers are allowed in the Market at a time.  Although masks are not required, they are strongly encouraged.

Finally, a few additional places have opened this week! In Atlantic City, casinos are now open with limited capacity.  The Smile Factory Arcade in Brigantine is also now open along with the Brigantine Community Center who also holds a summer concert series.

There is plenty to do on the island and plenty of space to social distance! We can’t wait for your visit!
